  2. I can't keep my eyes off that top one; its magical. Keep drawing me to it. Any others shots from that particular series?

  3. great comps here with the lines and shadows...the lamp post I find particularly well done - I have several shots but none ever took this angle...I like it!

  4. I'm interested to know if you focus on more as=bstract views like this when visiting new locations?
Is this just a selection, and you've got all the usual tourists snap, too? If not, how do you relate to a new place through a more abstract approach?

  5. In fact, I have very few "snaps" from the trip - if I can't make a good composition, I don't shoot, makes for lousy travel pictures and hardly images I'd want to show someone who is thinking of visiting Prague but I am reminded of the story of Brett Weston visiting London and finally taking out his camera for a spot of rust on a bridge.

Andy asked earlier if I had more in the series of the first image - unfortunately traveling with your wife you are always aware of time. Also I screwed up, several other images are not sharp (hardly surprising at half a second) but this time I was so sure of the composition that I took 8 images on the theory that one would be sharp - the theory was correct - I should have done the same with the other compositions (it doesn't take long), oh well, another lesson learned.

Let me add my voice to the admiration of that first image--really well done.
