Record Distance Travelled
woke up, light pouring in, liked the shapes, grabbed camera, head resting on pillow, fire shot, distance travelled zero (pick your units of distance).
I believe that sometimes this is the most fun type of photography. You are hit with a fresh perception unencumbered by preconceptions of what a "good" photography should be and you capture that moment of surprise and appreciation on film/sensor. I suspect you were moved by a combination of shapes and beautiful light reflections. Soemtimes this results in wacky pix and other times in sumptuous fresh visions.
There is a teacher who practices this form of work called "Miksang" photography and he has a wonderful web site at www.miksang.net. I have taken his workshops.
This way of photographing has greatly changed my shooting and I certainly enjoy it more.
Gotta have that camera at hand though! Looks like you had yours under the pillow like a well prepared spy!
