I've been enjoying the workshop series, both colour and B&W. I also seem to think there are, in fact, 2 distinct series coming together - 1 focusing on tools & equipment, the other on materials and shapes.

for me, the nature of the images gives these 2 groups there own distinctive character.

I hadn't thought of that, but you are right, there is quite a different flavour to the close and almost abstract images of forms, devoid of surround and clues to location, purpose or even of scale, while others do, to one degree or another.

It was not intentional, but it does perhaps point a way to the future. Eventually I'm going to run out of things to photograph here (though after six visits, I am amazed that I've come away as excited after each shoot as the previous). I have been asking myself, 'what next' and perhaps you have provided me with the answer - to find other places, not necessarily industrial shops) in which I can continue to work on the close forms, while working on a second series of industrial places.
