Weekend Trip To Badlands

Drove down to Dinosaur Provincial Park yesterday afternoon (about 3 hours), cought the evening light, crashed for four hours and got up again to catch the morning light this morning and home before 1 - 6 hours of photography in less than 24 hours and now I'm back from picking up some 100 lb. rocks for the front path. I think I can justify some rest now thanks.

I like all three images very much. Did you use a tilt lens to get front-to-back sharpness?

Two of the three images were shot with my 17-40. This lens is very sharp except for the extreme edges and there the problem is that the plane of focus is warped with the corners focusing closer than the middle. The result is that the two top corners being far are not very sharp, the two bottom corners being nearer than the point upon which I focussed, are just fine thank you.

I don't have a 24 ts-e and don't know if it would have produced a better result. I don't do enough of these types of composition to be worth having it. The other option would have been a stitch with my 24-70 but I was a bit pressed for time.
