I like this "chair" image. It took me a while to really see what the image was about. That is a good thing in my view, because as you have written, the object itself is too often taken for granted with only a cursory glance to allow for identification. Seeing takes work; categorizing or naming requires only a fleeting attending to the incoming stimuli.
