George, your compositional skill is absolutely exemplary...a veritable textbook for aspiring photographers! Looking at just about each and every image, and wondering about "a little to the left?", "a little crop there?",..and, nadda, not a thing! Just wonderful, exquisite vignettes on focusing on precisely what's needed. Superb.
ilachina - I tend to agree with you. Certain from reading & viewing George's work I have become a lot more careful with my compositions, especially the edges.Iteresting, then to compare the 2 shots of the barrel (4th one here, 1st one last post). I prefer the colour treatment but the composition of the B&W. The original composition, for me, falls off the the bottom right and the dark patches along the right edge are distracting.Show how a subtle change in composition can make a real difference.
